OUT OF BOUNDS
Beyond any white stakes, boundary fence or walls bordering the course. The clubhouse, professionals shop and associated paths, car park, practice putting green and the greenkeepers compound bounded by white posts.
8th Hole Beyond the ditch on the right bounded by its start and finish.
9th Hole To the right of the white posts and markings including the retaining wall and the ground it encloses (note no free relief from the wall/fence).
13th / 14th Holes White posts marking OOB to the 15th hole do not affect the play of these holes other than that they are immovable obstructions.
15th Hole Beyond the brook to the right up to the line of white posts extending up to the white post on the fence boundary in front of the 13th Green.
16th Hole The perimeter fence from the tee connecting with the shallow ditch encircling the waste ground indicated by white posts.
PENALTY AREAS
Indicated by red stakes/posts.
PROTECTION OF YOUNG TREES
Relief must be taken under Rule 16.1f.

Relief must be taken under Rule 16.1.
RUTS MADE BY TRACTOR
Should a ball come to rest in a deep rut made by a tractor tyre relief may be taken under Rule 16.1; this does not apply to shallow indentations.
FIXED SPRINKLER HEADS
Are immovable obstructions. If a ball lies through the green, and an immovable obstruction on or within two club lengths of the putting green, and within two club lengths of the ball, intervenes on the line of play between the ball and the hole relief may be taken under Rule 16.1.
DRAINAGE LINES
Recently installed drainage lines still evident are abnormal ground conditions and relief may be taken under Rule 16.1.

Model Local Rule E-3: Preferred Lies
When any part of a player’s ball touches the general area cut to fairway height or less (closely mown areas), the player may take free relief once by placing the original ball or another ball and playing from this relief area. the reference point is the spot of original ball and the player can place within 6 inches to this point not nearer the hole and it must be in the general area. (Rule 14.2)
18th Hole 06/04 /2025
The Ground Under Repair on the left hand side of the 18th fairway has now been removed. Please ignore any traces of the white line still present.
18th Hole Revised Out of Bounds Area 09/04 /2025
When playing the hole the general area on the right hand side of the hole all the way along the left edge of the road is now Out of Bounds indicated by the white posts & white posts with black tops.
