The Course Hole by Hole

Hole 1

White Tee 363 Yards Par 4

Yellow Tee 353 Yards Par 4

Red Tee 323 Yards Par 4

Pro’s Tip – A well positioned tee shot is between the ridges, followed by a mid iron shot to a well bunkered green.

Hole 2

White Tee 515 Yards Par 5

Yellow Tee 505 Yards Par 5

Red Tee 407 Yards Par 4

Pro’s Tip – A draw off the tee will help hold the fairway which slopes from left to right. A good drive gives a chance of attacking the second shot, but beware of the cross bunkers.

Hole 3

White Tee 154 Yards Par 3

Yellow Tee 147 Yards Par 3

Red Tee 137 Yards Par 3

Pro’s Tip – A short par 3, slightly uphill, played with a mid to short iron.

Hole 4

White Tee 515 Yards Par 5

Yellow Tee 499 Yards Par 5

Red Tee 420 Yards Par 5

Pro’s Tip – The drive should be down the left side as there is out of bounds to the right. With a good drive it is possible to hit the green with the second shot. If laying up, the second shot should be aimed to the left side of the fairway.

Hole 5

White Tee 390 Yards Par 4

Yellow Tee 386 Yards Par 4

Red Tee 381 Yards Par 4

Pro’s Tip – A tough uphill par 4 that plays much longer than it looks. The drive should be positioned to the left of the fairway bunker and followed by a long iron to the green.

Hole 6

White Tee 135 Yards Par 3

Yellow Tee 130 Yards Par 3

Red Tee 119 Yards Par 3

Pro’s Tip – A short Par 3 surrounded by bunkers. Club selection is important.

Hole 7

White Tee 383 Yards Par 4

Yellow Tee 370 Yards Par 4

Red Tee 360 Yards Par 4

Pro’s Tip – A good drive to the right of the oak tree in the fairway leaves a mid-short iron downhill to a green which slopes away from the player.

Hole 8

White Tee 369 Yards Par 4

Yellow Tee 362 Yards Par 4

Red Tee 352 Yards Par 4

Pro’s Tip – A tee shot with safety in mind is needed as there is out of bounds on the right. A good tee shot with a long iron sets up a short iron to the green.

Hole 9

White Tee 476 Yards Par 5

Yellow Tee 476 Yards Par 5

Red Tee 413 Yards Par 5

Pro’s Tip – A long hitter can drive the brook, but a long iron off the tee only leaves a mid iron and a pitch to the green.

Back 9

Hole 10

White Tee 187 Yards Par 3

Yellow Tee 181 Yards Par 3

Red Tee 127 Yards Par 3

Pro’s Tip An excellent Par 3. The tee shot ideally should be aimed at the right side of the green. A ball missed left leaves a very difficult up and down.

Hole 11

White Tee 331 Yards Par 4

Yellow Tee 326 Yards Par 4

Red Tee 309 Yards Par 4

Pro’s Tip – A good tee shot is just short of the left-hand fairway bunker, leaving a short iron to the green. Beware; this green is treacherous from above the hole.

Hole 12

White Tee 461 Yards Par 4

Yellow Tee 429 Yards Par 4

Red Tee 368 Yards Par 4

Pro’s Tip – The drive needs to be left of the trees in front of the brook. The second shot is a long iron or a fairway wood played to the right side of the green.

Hole 13

White Tee 319 Yards Par 4

Yellow Tee 314 Yards Par 4

Red Tee 277 Yards Par 4

Pro’s Tip – The best line for this tee shot is over the top of the right-hand bushes as this fairway slopes steeply to the left. The second shot needs to be played to the right side of the green.

Hole 14

White Tee 163 Yards Par 3

Yellow Tee 153 Yards Par 3

Red Tee 123 Yards Par 3

Pro’s Tip – A challenging Par 3 with Salmons Brook running in front of the green. Fade a mid or short iron into this picturesque downhill Par 3.

Hole 15

White Tee 482 Yards Par 5

Yellow Tee 475 Yards Par 5

Red Tee 456 Yards Par 5

Pro’s Tip – The ideal tee shot is down the left side of the fairway, with a second shot then played over the right side of the hill, leaving a short pitch to the green.

Hole 16

White Tee 284 Yards Par 4

Yellow Tee 284 Yards Par 4

Red Tee 243 Yards Par 4

Pro’s Tip – The ideal tee shot is over the ash tree in front of the tee, leaving a straightforward pitch to the green over the waiting brook for any mis-struck shots! A genuine birdie chance.

Hole 17

White Tee 347 Yards Par 4

Yellow Tee 344 Yards Par 4

Red Tee 344 Yards Par 4

Pro’s Tip – The drive should favour the left side of the fairway. A second shot with a mid or short iron should safely find the green. Beware of the moat behind the green.

Hole 18

White Tee 279 Yards Par 4

Yellow Tee 270 Yards Par 4

Red Tee 193 Yards Par 4

Pro’s Tip
– Accuracy is the key to this hole. A straight drive in the middle leaves a simple up-hill pitch to the green.
